Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

Actually I don't know both are bad So to lose all my old memories for ever without an chance to have them back will be sucks.My family and I will suffers through the process of making me to remember. But I think I will choose to lose all of my old memories. Maybe it sounds cheesy but I believe feelings are not related with my memory so my old feelings towards my beloved one will be still there, yes it doesn't bring old memories back but it is a start for the hope to grow.If I am selfish I will choose to never be able to make new ones and the two things that causes that, death, or very short memory. So if I am still breathing and I have a short memory, I will still have my old memories, and I will forget any frustration of not being able to make new memories soon, so the only one in this equation will suffer is my family.
